This series explores, in a light and satirical way, our attitudes toward the chaos of the present day. The project questions our tendency to enjoy the present moment while turning away from collective emergencies. It offers a perspective on society that is both critical and accessible, where distraction, carelessness, and resistance to change become easy responses—and, at times, necessary ones for our mental well-being.
Play, fire, and overconsumption are recurring elements throughout the paintings in this series. The paradox between the symbolism of play and that of fire creates a tension between apparent lightness and irreversible destruction. Suffering is transformed into spectacle or abstraction, creating an emotional distance from reality.
