(Swiss-American, b. 1994. Lives and works in Geneva)

Kelly de Geer is a photographer and artistic director whose versatile work spans

traditional and innovative practices. Beginning with a passion for street analog

photography, Kelly built her foundation capturing the raw energy of everyday life.

Over time, her focus expanded to include portraiture and fashion, where she

developed a distinct ability to convey authentic and deeply personal narratives.

Her artistic journey was shaped by formative experiences working with figures

like Steve McCurry, Heather Hazzan, and Magnum Photos, sharpening her vision

and deepening her understanding of the photographic world.

Driven by curiosity, Kelly constantly seeks to document or create something

meaningful—whether it’s an intimate street scene, the essence of a subject, or

an imagined concept brought to life through Artificial Intelligence. Returning to

Geneva from New York City marked an important chapter in her growth, where

she began exploring AI as a creative tool. For Kelly, this technology complements

rather than replaces her photography, allowing her to expand her imagination

and push artistic boundaries while staying true to her roots.

Kelly holds an MPS in Fashion Photography (2020) and a BFA in Photography

(2017) from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including: Décors, des Corps,

Espace L & S Agence, Geneva, Switzerland (2024); Photo Basel, Basel,

Switzerland (2024); Affordable Art Fair Hampstead, London, United Kingdom

(2024); Artificial Intelligence, Gutmans Gallery at OA Legal, Geneva, Switzerland

(2024); Awakening Senses, Bahay Contemporary, Zurich, Switzerland (2023);

MetaSkins, New York, United States (2022); UNFOLD, The Spot, Pop-Up Gallery,

Geneva, Switzerland (2020); and Are You Still Watching??, Living Gallery,

Brooklyn, New York, United States (2019).

Balancing tradition and innovation, Kelly de Geer’s practice reflects a profound

respect for photography’s heritage while embracing new possibilities to create

meaningful, thought-provoking work.

FR

photographie (2017) de la School of Visual Arts (SVA) à New York.

Hampstead, Londres, Royaume-Uni (2024) ; Artificial Intelligence, Gutmans Gallery à

OA Legal, Genève, Suisse (2024) ; Awakening Senses, Bahay Contemporary, Zurich,

Suisse (2023) ; MetaSkins, New York, États-Unis (2022) ; UNFOLD, The Spot, Pop-Up

Gallery, Genève, Suisse (2020) ; et Are You Still Watching??, Living Gallery, Brooklyn,

New York, États-Unis (2019).
