Introducing JUPITER 20730, a show with Formato Norte, a collective of seven artists from the Basque Country in Spain.
The artists Sebas Velasco, Jokin Sortwo, Marcos Navarro, Mikel Remak, Gabriel Coca, Iñigo Sesma & Mikel Del Rio present a total of sixteen pieces, each reflecting their individual styles with great mastery of their craft.
Their primary inspiration for the show is their neighborhood, a place where they observe, connect with its surroundings and reproduce images in their own perspective.
From abstraction to figurativsim with an urbanistic influence, their pieces reflect different concepts; muralism, portraiture, environment, social commentary and cultural references.
The group prides itself in having created a harmonious but varied body of work through their collaboration together. Their unity as artists permits them to lean on each other when needed and support their common goal: Paint.
Their primary medium is oil, oil on wood, oil on linen, oil mixed with hardware. A poetic, skillfull and exciting show that we have the pleasure of showing in our gallery.
The show opens on May 30th and lasts until August 1st 2024.
